History of Cerexio

Explore the evolution of Cerexio One from framework concept to intelligent platform.
Cerexio is an expert AI and integrated platform solution that originated in Singapore in 2020. Business software director Mr S. Gowrishankar created it to bring faster, reliable, and foolproof solutions to industrial players worldwide, drawing on more than 25 years of experience in the technology domain. Amid the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cerexio bolstered its efforts to support our employees and deliver new-age AI solutions with strong growth, trust, and expertise.

Cerexio Keeps Spreading Its Wings

Cerexio was headquartered in Singapore and soon after extended its wings to Sri Lanka and Australia. Currently, Cerexio is one of the leading AI platform solution providers in Singapore, with its extraordinary Smart AI solution powered by Industry 4.0 and sustainability capabilities. It enables all tools “as needed” by new-age manufacturing experts who employ robots and automation to streamline manufacturing operations.

Success Behind Cerexio

Our fundamental strength is a close-knit team that collaborates across countries, bringing strength, skills, togetherness, and diversity, driven by a strong determination to move forward as a technology solution provider. Currently, we have 70+ employees working hand in hand to bring Cerexio to where it is now and take it further and higher in the future. Our success across these areas has strengthened our proven execution capabilities.

Our Digital Evolution

Cerexio's journey began with a simple idea: make operational workflows more connected, responsive and efficient.
2020
From Operational Workflows to Manufacturing

Cerexio began by developing a message broker designed to streamline operational workflows and improve how systems communicate. As we worked closely with clients, we began to see a recurring challenge. Manufacturing organisations were dealing with increasingly complex operations, while conventional systems often struggled to adapt to their specific requirements. These client conversations led us deeper into the manufacturing industry.

We recognised a growing need for hyper-personalised manufacturing, where software could adapt to the way individual manufacturers operate rather than forcing businesses to change their processes around rigid systems.

Building an AI-Integrated MES

Our response was to develop a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integrated with AI, designed to support more personalised and intelligent manufacturing operations. The focus was not simply on digitising existing processes. It was on creating a system capable of understanding operational data, supporting better decisions and adapting to the specific requirements of each manufacturing environment.

Expanding Beyond Manufacturing Execution

As our understanding of manufacturing operations grew, so did the Cerexio portfolio.

We expanded into Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and introduced additional modules to address other areas of the manufacturing ecosystem. Production, inventory, warehousing, assets, quality and other operational functions could now be brought together through a broader software environment. The goal became clear: instead of solving individual operational problems separately, we wanted to help organisations manage their operations as a connected whole.

Towards Comprehensive Manufacturing Intelligence

This evolution led to the development of an all-in-one framework designed to optimise and automate operations across the manufacturing enterprise. From the production floor to warehouses, assets, people, processes and operational data, Cerexio began bringing more areas of manufacturing into a connected technology environment. The focus shifted from individual software modules to end-to-end operational intelligence.

Making Manufacturing Software More Intelligent

As AI technology evolved, so did Cerexio.

We introduced Generative AI, AI-powered chatbots and other intelligent tools to make the system more responsive, interactive and capable of learning from the organisations it supports. This opened the door to a different approach to enterprise software: systems that could become increasingly aligned with a company's processes, data, operational patterns and specific goals.

Instead of simply responding to predefined workflows, the technology could help organisations understand information, interact with their systems and respond to changing operational requirements.

The Birth of Cerexio One

These years of development, client feedback and technological evolution ultimately led to Cerexio One. Cerexio One brings together the capabilities developed throughout our journey into a unified platform designed to help organisations connect, optimise and automate their operations.

What began with a message broker for streamlining operational workflows has evolved into a broader vision: a more intelligent, adaptable and connected software environment for modern manufacturing. Our journey continues as we explore new ways for AI and intelligent technologies to help manufacturers respond to increasingly complex operational challenges.
